‘Fat’ William has had a few nicknames over the years, but the Jovial Big Man has taken them all in stride. He was the forth son of a tenant farmer in Worcestershire, destined to plow fields or end up a serf. A Hefty lad, when village conscripts were being looked for he readily signed up, and just didn’t go back to the farm afterwards. He’s been with Whitelocke’s company for quite some time, and enjoys that as it usually keeps him in food. He’s a bit of a hedonist, and spends his pay on women, wine, and pastries almost as fast as he can. Cheerful and optimistic almost to a fault, he never really looked to the future.
William was ‘taken’ by the faires, enchanted and besotted by one of their kind who kept him imprisoned along with a strange warrior from a far off land. Since being returned from the Fairy Realm he has become very wary of all things Fae, and he finds that he can’t quite enjoy the things he used to in the same way. Whether this is permanent or something that will pass is hard to say.
